Shikaku

The classic Japanese number puzzle — divide the grid, match the numbers.

Shikaku (also known as Rectangles) is a Japanese logic puzzle with one elegant rule: divide the grid into rectangles so that each one contains exactly one number, and that number equals the area of the rectangle. Simple to learn in seconds — and quietly addictive for years.

Why players stay

One rule, endless depth

Drag to draw a rectangle around a number. The area has to equal the number, and every square on the board has to end up in exactly one rectangle. That is the whole game.

Easy to Master

Start on 6×6 grids and work up through Medium (8×8–9×9) and Hard (10×10). Clear level 25 to unlock Master mode and its 16×16 boards.

Trophy points, medals and streaks

Track progress, skill and streaks as you go. Bronze, silver and gold medals land at 10, 50 and 100 puzzles solved.

Make the board yours

Switch between themes like Sunny, Mint Fizz and Twilight, change the number style, and spend coins on a hint when a grid has you stuck.
